Clients and consultant interpreters share a mutual interest in cooperating to achieve success. This means giving the interpreters as much information as possible as early as possible: list of participants, event programme, the text of any prepared speeches and background material. This material facilitates prepping. The competent interpreter is always happy when it is available.
